Things Do Get Better
Chapter 5
"There is something else wrong, isn't there?" asked JC. I sat there, looking at him, wondering if I should tell them. I finally nodded slowly, looking down. "Hey. You can tell us. We're friends, right?" asked Justin. "I guess," I said quietly. "Friends tell each other their problems too, right?" he asked. I nodded. "You can tell us. We wanna help," said Lance. I looked up to see if they were serious. They were. They really did wanna help me. I sighed and said, "OK. I'll tell you guys. But, could we go back to my house before I do?" I asked. "Yeah, sure. Let's go," said Joey. We all got up and walked back to my house without saying a word.
We walked up to my house and the front door was locked. Luckily I had my keys. I unlocked the door and we walked in. I found a note from the Johnsons saying they went to run errands. "Good," I thought. "They don't need to find out everything I'm gonna tell the guys."
We walked into the living room and sat down. I was sitting on one end of the couch. Lance sat next to me and JC sat next to Lance. Joey sat in one of the chairs and Justin sat in the other. Chris sat on the floor next to Justin. "OK," I thought as I sighed. "Here it goes."
