"Elise, you OK?"
"Yeah," I replied, refusing to make eye contact with her.
I knew that if I did, she would know exactly what I was thinking, but she must have known me better than I thought, because she immediately predicted.
"You thinkin' about David?" I shot my head up and gave her an evil look. After David disappeared, I forbid anyone to say his name in my presence. She rolled her eyes. "Oh come on. I heard you say bye to him. Bye JC" I blushed, hoping I hadn't sounded as flirty as Jen made it seem. Mallory laughed. Jen stood there for a second, with a strange look in her eyes.
"Hey Elise, why don't you come to the Hard Rock café with me tomorrow?" She sounded kind of far away, like she was planning something.
"Sure" I said, after hesitating for a second.
"OK, cool." She was trying to sound casual, but I knew up to something
