Ah, the glorious days of high school, Justin thought, the days where everyone matures. Well, at least, usually. He sighed. Suddenly, interrupting his thoughts, two hands with green nail polish covered his eyes.
"Gueeeeeeeeess whoooooooooooo!" A female voice sing-songed cheerfully.
"Ummm.....hmmm..let me see here. How many guesses do I get? Isn't there a theme song-thingy on this show? Do I get any life lines? Nahhh...I know..it's...Cookie Monster!!!!!!!!!"
"No, you dimwit! It's Amy! Duhhhhhhhhhh."
Amy Morgan, Justin's girlfriend, giving him a playful punch in the stomach. Justin pretended to fall over.
"Uggggggggggh!" he over-dramatically stumbled around, back of hand to forehead in mock swoon.
"Stop that you moron! You're making a scene!" Amy said a cocky grin on her face. She giggled. "Come on Mr. Big-Ol'-Basketball Star! If you don't hurry, we're going to miss the pre-game practice!"
" Weeeeell, if you put it that way, Ms. Super-Duper Cheerleading Hyper Girl, lets move it!" Justin grabbed Amy's arm and half-dragged, half-lead her to the gym. Before they parted into the seperate locker room, Amy gave Justin a quick peck on the cheek and said,
"Bye, oh, and Justin?"
" Yeah?"
" I did tell you to score a basket for me, didn't I??"
" Heh..yup, girly, ya did....and I will." Justin laughed.
" Don't call me "girly"!!!"
" Oh, okay.....girly!!!"
"Arrrrrrrrrgh!!" Justin chuckled, walking into the locker room.
He pulled on his jersey. Number 23 it said. Good thing 23 was his lucky number!! His duty was to give the team their usual pep talk, so he did. He added a corny joke, and his team mates groaned. Justin cackled, amused at his own wit. This game was a big one. Whoever won went to the state championships!! Justin gulped nervously, then trotted out on the court ready to play.
